I've realized that I haven't updated this since the winter holidays so now is probably a good time to make an update.
So much has happened between my last journal update and now, the main thing being the fact that I moved back to Canada this summer from the UK. The last two months have been crazy with all the moving stuff. My summer has pretty much gone like this:

Start summer job

Everything in the house being packed by the movers (most of it while I was at work)

Finish summer job, go straight to Southampton to get on a transatlantic cruise (instead of flying back to Canada)

Cruise (QM2)

Arrive in New York, fly to new home (cancelled and rescheduled flights included)

Live in a hotel for more than a week (Thank goodness they had wireless internet and I brought my laptop)

Finally move into new house when our long-term storage arrives (late)

Go to camp a couple of days later

Be a staff member at camp for 10 days

Arrive home to a room FILLED with moving boxes (from our stuff that came from the UK)

Unpack boxes
Which leads to now. I feel like my summer didn't really happen. I start my first year of university in just over a week. I'm going to be studying engineering and I have no idea what to expect. I've been to the university once to look at the buildings and get an idea of where my classes are but that's it. I'm supposed to go in later this week to get my student card and bus pass, which I'll need since I'm living at home and taking the bus in to university everyday (which I am not looking forward to since it's a fairly long bus ride). I also have to buy a whole bunch of textbooks which is going to cost a lot of money.
Aside from the highlight of moving houses I went on a cruise in April, and just before that I got a new phone (Android) and a new camera (Fujifilm HS10). Since my camera was still fairly new when I was on the cruise I took tons of pictures (which at some point I will hopefully upload some here). Now that I think of it I have tons of photos I could and probably should upload here, the problem is I'm usually too lazy to sort through them to find the good ones and upload them. And once I start university I will probably have no free time, so I'll have to do it in the next week or wait for a long time.
If you've read this far in this journal post (congratulations!) you may have realized I'm rambling about pointless things (there's a reason I'm studying Engineering and not English) so I'll finish this here.
Also, if you've ever lived at home while attending university and you have any advice let me know in a comment or a note.
